Critics of climate change
The critics of climate change are spread out throughout the country. They do not believe that the climate change is happening, or that it is a cause of what us humans have been doing for many years. Regardless of the great amount of proof that the increasing temperatures are rising and will continue to rise they still do not believe it. The critics of climate change range from the belief that the weather is changing but they believe the changes are do to the natural cycle of the earth – a pattern that causes the earth to heat up and cool down every so many years. Can this be a true statement, absolutely! Does it change the fact that the climate is changing, not at all. The great disasters that are in store for us due to the changes in the climate are scary – our grim future doesn’t’ have much hope for survival. Now critics are not new and they will always be around, but the critics of climate change have been gaining a large amount of influence, regardless of the many years and achievements made by notable climate scientists. Many climate scientist have dedicated their entire lives to this climate change, and critics come in to claim that there are many global warming holes and fields. But the one thing that cannot be dismissed is the fact that the atmosphere of the earth is filled with many gases that are hovering around the surface of the earth many miles above us, and invisible to the eye, but easily seen on a satellite image of the earth. These gases consist of carbon dioxide and water vapor. This is a normal thing, and is necessary to prevent the earth from freezing over, so what is the big deal about this increasing thickening carbon dioxide cloud surrounding the earth. The critics of climate change don’t believe that this is a bad thing, but what will eventually happen and has begun to happen is that the heat is no longer finding it’s way through this thick cloud of gases and it’s being trapped causing the earth’s temperature to rise. Would this have happened if humans didn’t add to the amounts of gases? Probably, but the fact that we have added hundreds of years to this problem is the real case at hand. There are things that we can all begin doing to reduce the amount of gases that we produce and stop adding to the thickness of the could above us that we don’t see. Just because you can’t see something doesn’t mean that it doesn’t exist. This is a real problem and if we do not begin to do something about it the devastating effects that it will have on our children and their children will be horrific.
